They Fight

They Fight

There are tens of thousands of serving British troops including Gurkhas and Reserves, who sign an oath of allegiance to protect Her Majesty, Her Government and Her Citizens at all cost, they are doing it now.

They Fall

They Fall

Our Nation has lost hundreds of serving personnel in recent years and many more have lost limbs and have suffered traumatic stress caused by the hostile combats they are fighting in.

We Carry On

We Carry On

We carry on with our lives freely walking the streets knowing we are safe from harm. This freedom is bought by our combatants who risk their lives and limbs daily.

But can they?

But can they?

For them to build a new life with the burden of traumatic stress and a limb or limbs missing is a demoralising and lonely journey.

Who looks after them?

Who looks after them?

We Do!

We at SWS RnR start them on that journey. We are a registered Charity that provides this invaluable service entirely from public contributions.

PLEASE GIVE A LITTLE BECAUSE THESE SOLDIERS HAVE GIVEN EVERYTHING.

What we do

So, you can expect to be comfortable; well fed and occupied each day with outdoor, competitive activities many of which will be novel.  If you are like the 400+ men who have stayed so far you will, we trust, go home having had a real holiday, away from all military rules, and with the certain knowledge there are many people who wish you well, appreciate you and want you to know it.

Ex-service men embarking on one of our training programmes will receive full board accommodation throughout their stay and the training starts at 9 to 5 each day for both the HGV1 theory studies and SIA badge qualification. Friday is test for both subjects and those men who successfully pass the driver training theory test can start the practical part of the course on the following Monday.

So, in an ideal world an unemployed ex-service man can start on a Monday morning and two weeks later pass his class one driving test and be employed almost immediately as, as a nation, we are approximately 60,000 lorry drivers short. Similarly, those embarking into the security industry once they have got their SIA badge they will find it easy to gain employment.
