Southwest Scotland RnR benefited from a fundraising event organised by the Inner Wheel of Kirkcudbright. They joined forces with the Rotary Club of Kirkcudbright at their annual event on the Moat Brae, Kirkcudbright.
The Inner Wheel set up a stall where just about everything was on sale from home baking, toys, bottles, jams and a whole table full of miscellaneous items. “We were lucky with the summer weather,” said Member Jennifer Wood, “and the holiday makers, adding numbers to the locals.”
When they went to present the cheque to Jennefer Tobin, founder of RnR, the members were given a tour of the premises so they could see what facilities are available for the injured personnel who come to stay. They also saw the progress being made in renovation work to the building following the fire last February.
Jennefer Tobin said: “It was a most generous donation from the Inner Wheel, which I was
delighted to accept on behalf of RnR. I gave them a tour of the house and we
also had fun trying on some of the wonderful hats created by Elizabeth Parker.

She is an international milliner who comes to Carsethorn whenever we have a group of lads and does all the cooking for them.”
Jennefer and President Barbara enjoy trying on Lizzie’s creations.
